Watch this Limping dog copy his injured owner out of sympathy.

This is an awesome video of dog mimicking his owner’s injury. In this case it is because the dog cares and loves his owner.

But also know that dogs are smart enough to fake an injury for other reasons.

How to tell if your Dog is Faking an Injury

You can easily spot many telltale signs if your dog is faking an injury or not. Please be careful not to ignore an actual real injury.

Watch them closely to see if they are showing pain in any way which is hard to fake. Even if you did not see what it is that caused the injury it is still easy to evaluate the situation.

If they are limping one minute while you’re watching but are in a different area and not aware of you watching they are running and playing normally, your dog may be faking.

Another sign is an injury your dog has been showing for some time yet suddenly, the limping, pain or issue is gone. This could mean your dog just wanted attention.

Body Language. If a dog is really injured, typically their body language will be different. Their mood will be different and not happy.
