So you think your Dog may be the next Magic Johnson?
Well let’s try a few things and see if he has what it takes.
Start off with a simple game of fetch. If your dog will not fetch that is, grab a ball, toy, basically anything. Stop. Your dog should try a different sport. If fetch has been mastered go to step two.
When playing fetch with your dog, instead of taking the object back from your do, in this case let’s say a ball, have him drop it into a bucket or a box. Amy kind of container will work.
Teaching your dog should be broken down in individual, achievable steps. Always reward your do as he achieves each step. Once your dog has learned to drop the ball into the container, gradually take it a little higher making your dog have to reach up to drop it.
Once your dog is reaching up and dropping the ball into the container, simply replace the container with a basketball hoop. Use the same method of dropping in, and eventually raising it higher and higher rewarding your dog with each achievement along the way.
It won’t be long before your getting a call from the LA Lakers.
