I Wanna Hold Your Hand!
Many people have visited and enjoyed Speck’s Kennel located in Bullock County. Every visitor is greeted with a friendly welcoming face and an extended “paw” of friendship.
His love for touching and visits are heartwarming and a little heartbreaking when it is time to leave. Speck was in this Alabama shelter for over a year after a lifetime of living on the streets. It appeared there wasn’t much hope of him being placed in a loving home.
His main attraction was not toys, cats, or even other dogs, it was the touch and affection from humans that he seemed to enjoy the most.
One shelter working was so taken by Specks need to stick his paw out and hold hands he videoed one such encounter with visitors. Hoping she could help place Speck she posted the video on social media. Facebook views of the video were over 96,000 views in just a few short days.
Thanks in part to the video and some caring people Speck has now been placed with a loving family. He will spend his days running free on a 26-acre farm, with two fellow dogs and loving humans. We are sure they will be much paw shaking hugging and love in store for Speck.
